Former WWE Star Brock Lesner Set to Make UFC Debut

Former WWE super star Brock Lesner is set to make his UFC debut at UFC 81, Breaking Point.  Lesner has been slowly working his way through the minor leagues of mixed martial arts and is now scheduled to head line a UFC fight card.

While at the University of Minnesota, Lesner was a four-time All American, two-time Big Ten Champion, a second place finisher in the 1999 NCAA Championships, and the 2000 NCAA National Champion.  He finished his college career with an astounding 106-5 record.  His athletic accomplishments also led him to the WWE and to a brief stint with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings.

Brock Lesner will not be put in front of a push over either.  Frank Mir is going to be Lesner's first opponent in the UFC who is the former Heavyweight champion.  Mir has been on a slow come back ever since his motor cycle accident forced him out of competition in 2004.

After his 2 year recovery, Mir is 2-2 with wins over Dan Christison and Antoni Hardonk.  A win over Brock Lesner at UFC 81 will launch Mir back into the UFC Heavyweight picture.
