UFC 104 Down, UFC 106 to Go
As Yushin Okami (going in with a 7-1 record) and UFC vet Ben Rothwell recover from their crushing defeats at UFC 104 to Chael Sonnen and Cain Velasquez, respectively, fans and fighters gear up for the upcoming UFC 106, where in the main event MMA superstar Tito Ortiz will be going up against Forrest Griffin.
On the downside, Brock Lesnar has taken ill and won't be able to show up for his bout with Shane Carwin. Strangely, the same thing happened to Mark Coleman, who was originally supposed to step into the Octagon to face Ortiz.
Paulo Thiago is going up against newbie Jacob Volkmann (this after Thiago was pulled from his intended UFC 107 bout against semi-namesake Thiago Alves).
More on UFC 104: Lyoto Machida took the main event win in a decision against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, and Yoshiyuki Yoshida TKO'd Anthony Johnson. And Spencer Fisher fell to Joe Stevenson.
